Delivery and Shipping

Add some general information about your delivery and shipping policies.

The BETAFPV Micro RF TX module is based on the Express LRS project, an open-source RC link. ExpressLRS aims to achieve the best possible link performance in both speeds, latency, and range. This makes ExpressLRS one of the fastest RC links available while still offering long-range performance. This is the 915mhz version and is great for long range flights. The 915mhz frequency is able to penetrate through objects much better than 2.4ghz.

Specifications

  • Packet refresh rate: 25Hz/50Hz/100Hz/200Hz (915MHz/868MHz),
  • RF output power: 100mW/250mW/500mW (915MHz/868MHz)
  • Frequency bands: 915MHz FCC/868MHz EU
  • Input voltage: 5V~12V
  • XT30 port: 5V~12V, recommend 2S(8.4V) battery, DO NOT support 3S(12.6V) or above
  • USB port: Type-C

Note: Please assemble the antenna before power on. Otherwise, the PA chip in the Micro TX module will be damaged permanently.

Note: Please DO NOT use 3S or above battery to power up the TX module via XT30 port. Otherwise, the power supply chip in the TX module will be damaged permanently.

About the firmware

The ExpressLRS offical project on Github does NOT support the OLED function for the moment. BETAFPV team will work with the ELRS team and make the official repository support the OLED and button function ASAP.

Please get the firmware from BETAFPV Github nowadays until ExpressLRS official support. In BETAFPV branch, the ExpressLRS protocol is V1.1.0 and NO binding phrase for the firmware.

NOTE: There are 2 known issues with this firmware currently. We will solve these 2 issues ASAP. If you find more other issue, feel free to leave a issue here.

  • Only support pressing function for the joystick.
  • When entering OLED menus page with long pressing, the connection between RF TX module and receiver will be lost, the connection will recover after exiting menus page automatically;

You could all use the ELRS official firmware V2.0-RC2 now, but lost the function of OLED and Joystick. We will work with the ELRS dev team and make the ELRS official firmware support the full function of the Micro TX Module. For the milestone, OLED will be supported in the V2.1 officially.

A Message from Mr. Tiny Whoop

about Tariffs and Pricing

Hey everyone,

I’m speaking to you now both as a business owner and a member of the FPV family we've built together.

For almost ten years now, I’ve been doing everything I can to keep Tiny Whoop prices steady, even as costs started to rise. But with the newest wave of tariffs—more than doubling the cost of nearly every part we import from China—that fight has hit a wall.

Lots of you have already noticed some prices going up across the site. This isn’t a price hike to chase profit. It’s survival mode. Like everyone in the FPV industry right now, I’m facing a set of changes that hit fast and hard. Nearly everything we source from China now costs us more than double.

For an irresponsibly long time I ate the costs of the tariffs, but the math doesn’t work anymore without putting Tiny Whoop at serious risk.

So here’s what I want you to know:
Every price increase is a response to real, unavoidable costs.
Even with the price increases I’m taking a big hit.
When this pressure eases, I’ll roll back prices immediately.

If you have any questions or ideas it would mean a lot to hear from you!

We’re still shipping every day, still guaranteeing satisfaction on all orders. But this is the toughest moment Tiny Whoop has faced in nearly a decade.

Through all of this, my mission hasn’t changed. I’m still committed to helping people experience the gift of flight, to keeping TinyWhoop.com on the leading edge of innovation, and to making sure the magic of Tiny Whoop doesn’t get swallowed up by politics and global economics.

If you’ve been a part of this ride in any way, I am so, so grateful! Thank you for supporting Tiny Whoop, thank you for supporting my family, and thank you for being a part of this amazing community!
